Sungai Rambai is an area with granite formation covered by alluvial deposits. The granite here formed through weathering, creating tor boulders. The quaternary deposits in the area contain organic matter and ancient fossil shells such as Anadara granosa, Gastropoda and Ostrea sp., dated to around 4,000-5,000 years old.
