Pulau Besar is a geosite carrying many legends, history and heritage. The lithology is biotite-dominated granite. Its geological uniqueness includes an east-west oriented aplite vein cutting across the biotite granite outcrop, along with weathering-formed granite tors and unique geomorphology forming Batu Belah and Gua Yunus, both popular visitor spots.
