📍 Jasin

An island of granite and highly weathered grey laterite showing coastal erosion and joint structures.

Pulau Nangka has granite and laterite lithology. The laterite found on this island is light grey and has undergone intense weathering, resulting in structural changes such as coastal erosion, hanging boulders, and clearly visible joints. From a geodiversity perspective, the area has exposed granite outcrops and a contact zone between two rock types - phaneritic and aphanitic.
